Beijing Productivity Center, a non-profit institution, was founded in 1998. It provides services for government and enterprises. It is directly under Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology. In 2011, it was authorized state-level demonstration centre with class A by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. It is also the first domestic area member of Asian Benchmarking and Clearinghouse.

Beijing Productivity Center has 43 staffs, including 24 persons with master and above degree (3 persons with doctor degree or post- doctor), accounting for 56% of the total amount. The total capital is RMB 17 million.
